We also had the very cool opportunity to go into the church offices to meet with Brad Teare who is in charge of the illustrations for the FRIEND. He is in our ward and use to be our home teacher so I asked him for a tour of the "FRIEND" he was very gracious and we got to see how they illustrate the FRIEND. He is an amazing artist! He asked us what type of animal he should put on the front of the November issue and we told him...so we know whats coming in November. He drew for us a while and that was very cool to see what they do on the computer with the drawings. Next time your reading the FRIEND look for Brad Teare's name beside some of the pictures. We were very grateful for this experience something the kids will always remember.....I HOPE!!

Our July trip to the SLC Temple
We had the opportunity to take the kids to the Salt Lake Temple for baptisms for the dead. Bailey, Perri, and Sydney got to experience the Salt Lake Temple with us and it was an amazing experience. It was Sydney's first time which was fun. Randy was able to do the baptisms and confirmations for all 48 names. We were lucky to have Karlee with us so that she could watch Miles while we were in the Temple. We had a tour of Brigham Young's house in this picture, and we really enjoyed that but especially enjoyed eating at the Lion House! It was delicious!
